In its earliest form, the crown dates back to 1503, when it was depicted being worn by King James IV.
The Queen had herself held the crown in the same church, St Giles' Kirk just after her coronation.
This crown features The Koh-i-Noor diamond and was given to Queen Elizabeth II's mother in 1937, according to the Historic Royal Palaces.
The diamond was given to Queen Victoria as a condition of the Treaty of Lahore, which ended the first Anglo-Sikh War in 1849, according to Historic Royal Palaces.
Four crowns will appear throughout the events to honor the queen.
