A trailer and a few cars were involved in a car accident and it's very bad. 4 people are feared dead and many are injured.
The incident which happened after Obosi Police Station, off Onitsha-Owerri road, involved the tipper with registration number, JIT 168 XG, a commercial bus belonging to Izuchukwu, with registration number, ABN 430 YN, and a black Toyota Spider, with registration number, FST 122 DQ
While the dead were taken and deposited at a nearby mortuary, the injured were taken to Unity Hospital, Obosi for medical attention.
Narrating his account, the driver of the ill-fated black Toyota Spider, who pleaded anonymity, thanked God for saving his life and his fellow occupants, and to passersby, Police, and FRSC officials, for joining in the rescue operation.
Mr. Obiora Chinonso, a trader at Mgbuka Obosi, who joined in the rescue operation, attributed the incident to over speeding and brake failure.
Meanwhile, men of the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Road Safety Corp helped in the rescue operation and clearing of the road for the free flow of traffic.
