Senegal strolled to a domineering victory over Cameroon on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro in Côte D'Ivoire.

The battle involving two roaring lions witnessed 4 breathtaking goals, with the Taranga Lions coming out as victors in the clash.


Ismaila Sarr netted the opener in the 16th minute, with a right-footed attempt into the bottom right corner.

Both sides went neck and neck in the game, with Cameroon slightly edging it on possession counts, 47% for Senegal, and 53% for the Indomitable Lions.

Cameroon halved the deficit in the 83rd minute, with Jean-Charles Castelletto heading the ball precisely into the back of the net.

The Teranga Lions introduced Pathe Ciss in the 90th minute, while their opposition also sent on Junior Tchamadeu for Enzo Tchato a minute later.

Senegal got the icing on the cake in the 5th minute of additional time in the second duration, with Sadio Mane scoring a brilliant goal to seal the victory.
