Following the revelation made by the Sivasspor man, a Twitter user quizzed him over why he made the decision, even when his filling station isn't in Lagos.

Lagos, which is located in Southwestern Nigeria is the country's commercial capital and one of the biggest economies in Africa.

Ahmed Musa responded to the twitter user in a confident manner expressing that it is a personal decision he has taken.

Musa said: “That is what me I decide to sell my own.”

The move by Ahmed Musa to sell petrol at a price lesser than the official market price is coming days after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited revealed an increase in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit.

Petroleum, whose price has consistently increased astronomically in Nigeria shoot-up from ₦580 to ₦620 in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

After the declaration made by the NNPC, a lot of petrol stations altered their pump price to the new price.

This move by Ahmed Musa definitely demonstrates his love for humanity and his actions has been lauded by all and sundry.

The sporadical increase in the cost of petrol has resulted in outrage all over Nigeria as many beckoned on the government to put things in place which would cushion the effect of the increase.

Recall that following the swearing into office of President Bola Tinubu, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company hiked the price of PMS from ₦195 to ₦537 per litre.

The sporadical increase apparently came to the fore due to the President's uncanny utterance in his inauguration ceremony, where he stated his administration's standing regarding fuel subsidy.

In October 2017, Ahmed Musa opened his MYCA-7 petrol station in Giginyu in Kano State.

The 30-year-old also owns a sports and fitness centre, which also features all-weather football pitches, in the northern part of Nigeria.

Musa has made 108 appearances for Nigeria, scoring 18 goals and providing 16 assists across all competitions.

Ahmed Musa was also amongst the squad, who led the Super Eagles of Nigeria to glory at the 2013 African Cup Of Nations in South Africa.

The former Leicester City attacker is Nigeria's most capped player and the player with the most goals for the African nation at the FIFA World Cup with 4.
