Manchester United and Argentine footballing young talent Alejandro Garnacho starred for Manchester United as the Red Devils scraped past Everton at Old Trafford to relaunch themselves into the Premier League top-four race.

Bruno Fernandes scored a spot-kick to put Manchester United into the lead in the 12th minute. In the 39th minute, United won a penalty again. And this time, Marcus Rashford converted it to double the lead for the Red Devils.

The two first-half goals were enough to hand United a deserved 2-0 victory over the Toffees.

Alejandro Garnacho etched his name into Man United's history books with a stunning performance that aided the triumph over Everton.

The Argentine youngster won United the two penalties which the club converted to secure all three points for the Red Devils.

According to Sportbible, Alejandro Garnacho became the first Manchester United player to win two corner kicks which were converted into goals for the team.

The 19-year-old nearly won United his third penalty of the match after he had his attempt mistakenly handled by Everton player Vitaly Mykolenko but calls for the penalty to be awarded was ignored.

Garnacho has 5 goals and 3 assists in 26 Premier League games for Manchester United and has been an integral member of Erik ten Hag's injury-ravaged squad.

Manchester United closed the gap to Tottenham in 5th position to 3 points with the London club having a game in hand.

Meanwhile, they are still far away from a top-four finish with eight points away from Aston Villa, who also have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag will hope to continue on winning ways as the club continue their push for a top-four finish.
