Onana has been widely criticized for his poor start at Old Trafford, but the Cameroonian goalie has kept five clean sheets in the Premier League this season, the most of any goalkeeper.

The keeper, who previously played for Inter and Ajax, has saved the third-most goals in the Premier League this year and has also stopped the second-most goals, indicating that his time at Manchester United has been far better than most people realize.

In addition, Onana has contributed to Manchester United's rise to the top of the Premier League's all-time clean sheet chart.

In Manchester United's 3-0 victory over Everton, the Cameroonian goalie recorded his fifth clean sheet of the 2023–24 campaign.

This was acknowledged as the 500th clean sheet the Red Devils have ever recorded in Premier League history, more than any other side in the tournament.

Onana will always be remembered for being the keeper who helped Manchester United reach the milestone of 500 games without conceding a goal, along with club legends like Peter Schmeichel, Edwin van der Sar, and David de Gea who added hundreds of clean sheets to the Red Devils' record.

Onana, though, was vital in helping them accomplish their goal as she went above and beyond to fend off the hosts.

Manchester United has climbed up the Premier League standings thanks to their five victories in their previous six games and they are currently four points behind third-place Liverpool.

After a challenging beginning to his Manchester United career, Onana seems to be adjusting to life at Old Trafford.

The 27-year-old replaced David de Gea, who left the team at the end of the previous season when he joined the Red Devils in the summer from Serie A side Inter Milan.
