ASUU plans to summon NEC Meeting Over half salary
Recently, the federal government paid the salaries of the Lecturers under the body of ASUU but the issue was that they were paid only half salaries.
This sparked various reactions online regarding the Asuu salary.
Following this issue, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called for an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council of the union.
The Lecturers affected voiced out their complains to the federal government.
They plan to address this issue during the meeting they are planning for however the date for the meeting has not been fixed.
Remember that it was only last month that the strike was called off after 8 months and a series of meetings and Lecturers were told to return to school immediately.
The strike was called off after the court of appeal ordered the union to call off the strike and not because the issue was resolved.
They were hoping the issue would be resolved only for the federal government to pay half salaries at the end of the month of October.
The Federal Government is yet to respond to this.
