Barcelona will sign Portuguese duo Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo on a permanent deal when their loan deals expire at the end of the season.

The Portuguese sensations joined Barcelona on loan deals at the last stretch of last summer's transfer window.

Felix has impressed since joining Barcelona. He has scored 4 League goals with 5 assists for club, including 3 Champions League goals and one assist.

Cancelo has two league goals and one assist, including a Champions League goal and assist for the Catalans.

Following the duo's impressive loan shift, they have been linked with a permanent contract when their current deal expires. Their agent, Jorge Mendes, has confirmed Barcelona are ready to have the duo stay put with the club beyond this season as they want them to continue with the club.

In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Jorge Mendes said;

"Barca plans for both to stay beyond the season, they want them with the club."

Felix and Cancelo have been open to permanent deals with Barcelona following their difficult spells with their parent clubs.

Cancelo fell out with his parent club Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola for lack of game time. He was sent on a short-term loan to Bayern Munich before joining Barcelona again on loan.

Felix joined the Catalans after falling out of favor in Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid squad. The attacking midfielder was previously loaned to Chelsea in the Premier League before being loaned again to Barcelona following his dwindling fortunes in Spain's capital.

He celebrated when he scored the winner against his former club Atletico Madrid in La Liga and kissed his Barcelona badge after coming off the bench to score in Barcelona's 4-2 win over Real Betis.

With six months left in their loan deals, they will be hoping to stay put with Barcelona after breathing life back to their career with the Catalan club.
