Bayern Munich star player Joshua Kimmich engaged in a heated argument with the club's assistant coach Zsolt Low as pressure continues to build on manager Thomas Tuchel.

Reports have emerged that Kimmich had to be physically restrained by his teammates after a confrontation with Tuchel's assistant in the tunnel following the team's third defeat in just eight days.

Thomas Tuchel's job is on the line as Bayern Munich are facing a crisis, with the manager even canceling a scheduled press conference after the recent defeat to Bochum on Sunday, February 18.

The German Bundesliga giants are now in danger of ending a 22-year streak of winning at least a trophy, and there are doubts whether England's captain Harry Kane will be able to end his career-long trophy drought at the club.

Tuchel's side suffered a string of defeats, including a loss to Bayer Leverkusen, a defeat to Lazio in the first leg of the Champions League, and a 3-2 loss to Bochum on Sunday, February 18.

This has put their Bundesliga and Champions League hopes at risk after a disappointing start to the campaign.

Meanwhile, the mounting pressure on former Chelsea boss Tuchel has led to calls for his sacking, with reports of several senior Bayern players falling out with him over the team's underwhelming performances.

Kimmich was replaced after 60 minutes during the game last night and as he left the field, he became involved in a confrontation with assistant manager Low.

According to Bild, the player and the assistant coach exchanged heated words as they made their way to the dressing room.

The argument seemed to be over, but Low then said something to Kimmich as he walked up the stairs in the tunnel, leading to another confrontation.

The Sun reported that Bayern captain Manuel Neuer and several other teammates had to intervene to prevent the situation from escalating further.

Meanwhile, Bayern head coach, Thomas Tuchel refused to disclose the details of the incident but maintained that things did not get out of hand.

Tuchel told reporters: ''I know what was going on. This is not for the public."

''We are in a football locker room. This is a pretty normal occurrence if kept within limits. And it stayed within limits.''

Tuchel's mandatory post-match press conference was called off, leading to speculation about his job security following another disappointing result that left his team eight points behind Leverkusen in the Bundesliga standings.

However, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has pledged to support Tuchel for the time being, stating that he went to the dressing room to hear the former Chelsea manager's team talk after Sunday's loss.

What's next?

Thomas Tuchel has now lost 11 out of 44 matches in charge, more than his predecessor Julian Nagelsmann.

With time running out, Tuchel needs to turn things around quickly. Fans are anticipating a positive change as Bayern prepares to take on fifth-placed RB Leipzig in their next match on Saturday, February 24.
