Buhari gives automatic employment to 65 ex-NYSC members

The president of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari has given 65 Ex-NYSC Corp members automatic employment.

The employment are in the Federal Civil Service. This happened on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

This is as NYSC closed 50. He went ahead to talk about the various achievements that they have been able to have since they were established 50 years ago.

He spoke at the 50th Anniversary Honours Award of NYSC which was held at the State House Conference Centre.

He said out of these 65 people, 52 have received the Presidential Honours Awards, while the others are those who are physically challenged. They are the ex-corps members who have been recognized under the NYSC Hope Alive programme.

He also revealed that these people will also be awarded scholarships so that they can further their education even up to the Doctorate Degree level at any university in Nigeria.

President Buhari also paid tribute to the Corp members who lost their lives during their service to the nation.

He said the Nation will continue to remember their sacrifices towards building a strong and indivisible entity.

President Buhari also praised all Nigerians who have served over the last 50 years for their patriotic zeal and commitment to NYSC
