Popular musician Teni receives a national honor from President Muhammadu Buhari.
Various reactions were made regarding the national award she received from the president.

The musician shared a video that shows her receiving the award to address what some claimed to be disrespectful during the National Honors Award Investiture ceremony on Tuesday. The President, Muhammadu Buhari presented national honors to 447 Nigerians and foreigners at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja. These honors were of different categories.

Among those presented with awards are Musician Teni, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Mo Abudu, Amina Mohammed and some others.

The reactions from various Nigerians were sparked when Teni walked away without greeting the president after receiving the plaque for the award of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
Many people gave their option regarding this matter and some tagged the behavior as disrespectful.
Meanwhile, some people praised the manner and attitude in which Teni received the award.

Following this issue that was trending on social media, Teni expressed her appreciation to God in a writing, she also appreciated her family as well as President Buhari who presented the award.
