Lagos led the list at 142, FCT at 60, Bayelsa at 54, Rivers at 39, Delta at 37, Oyo at 30, Kaduna at 26, Imo at 23, Enugu at 19, Kwara at 17, Gombe at 11, Ondo at 10, Bauchi at 8, Ogun at 7, Borno at 6, and Benue at 1.​

Oyo state discharge 9 COVID-19 patient. Governor of Oyo state who is also head of the state's COVID-19 task force, Seyi Makinde announced via twitter the recoveries/discharge of nine COVID-19 patients in the state bringing the total number of recoveries/discharge to 280 in Oyo. He said: "Nine confirmed COVID-19 cases have recieved their second negative test result7 and have been discharged.this brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo state to 280".

Oyo state plan to re-open schools June 29, 2020. President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Mr Kayode Adeyemi shared his view to the Oyo state government regarding the re-opening of school in the state on June 29,noting that it was a step to the right direction,Meanwhile the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in the state shared his own view regarding the re-opening.He said: "The directive to re-open schools is contrary to that of the National comittee on COVID-19, which directed that all educational institutions must remain closed for now"

Symptoms of the coronavirus NCDC announced via twitter handle possible symptoms connected to COVID-19, these symptoms are loss of smell and taste, fever, headache and runny nose, noting that the symptoms shouldn't be ignored.

Peter Okoye and his family contract the coronavirus
Nigerian musician and entertainer Peter Okoye a.k.a Mr p disclosed through a series of videos via his verified twitter handle on Saturday revealing that he, his wife, daughter and two domestic staff all tested positive to the coronavirus.in the video he revealed that he fell ill about 3 weeks ago and expressed sadness as he said he may have been the reason the virus got into the house. he urged all Nigerians to adhere to COVID-19 directives.​

Lagos discharges additional 55 coronavirus patients
The Lagos state Ministry of Health announced via twitter handle on Saturday the discharge of 55 patients from COVID-19 isolation centres.the 55 patients who recovered from the deadly virus included 16 foreign nationals, while others are Nigerians bringing the total number of recoveries/discharge in Lagos to 1,530.​

Judging by latest readings on coronavirus cases Nigeria is currently at 26484 confirmed cases with 790 new cases and 13 deaths recorded seen yesterday. we can say Nigeria is at a critical stage in this pandemic and with the lockdown eased what could be the faith of our health care systems advancing into the pandemic ?
