Court Stops the Suspension Of Labour Party National Officers
The court has stopped the suspension of some officials of the Labour Party during a state High Court sitting. This happened in Benin.
They have stopped the suspension of these National officials until the determination of motion on notice.
The lawyer of the Labour Party G. C. Igbokwe (SAN) was the one who revealed this information. He mentioned that he hot a High court order that they should take no action that will affect or result in the suspension of any national officer of the Labour Party.
Not too long ago, a vote of confidence was passed by the leadership of the Labour Party in Edo state. The Local Government and Ward executives were also involved in this process. This vote of confidence was passed on Mr Abure and this happened on Monday.
The party also mentioned that the suspension of the Labour Party National Chairman had been announced earlier.
Mr Kelly Ogbaloi who is the Chairman of the Edo State Chapter of the Labour party spike to the newsmen and he revealed that the constitution of the Labour Party has not given anyone the power to suspend a national leader.
