Cristiano Ronaldo was on target for Al Nassr as the former Manchester United frontman bagged a brace to set a new world record.

The former Real Madrid hitman left fans astonished after scoring an extraordinary record-breaking goal for the Middle East outfit on Friday, November 24.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored two times for the Riyadh-based side as they secured a 3-0 victory over Al Akhdoud in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo's first goal was a result of an incredible touch in the area and an untroubled fine finish from a close range.

But it was the Portuguese legend's second goal that stood out and got fans talking.

After the visitor's shot-stopper, Paulo Vitor came out in an attempt to make a save, the ball deflected straight to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Juventus player then controlled the ball with his chest before looping his effort over the defense and went straight into the net from over 30 yards out.

Ronaldo's incredible finish saw him break the record for the most first-division goals scored in football history, overtaking Czech legend Josef Bican with 527.

The International all-time leading goal scorer has bagged 61 goal contributions in 2023.

The 38-year-old has been in shining form during his second season in the Saudi Pro League so far.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 16 goals in 17 appearances before Al Nassr's win at home over Al Akhdoud on Friday night, November 24.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward has had his decent share of world-class periods at the Middle East side.

But the former Sporting CP frontman took things to a whole new level when Al Nassr won their 14th Saudi Pro League game of the season.

Sami Al Najei gave the home team an early lead after 13 minutes of action with a goal that looked as though it would be the only strike of the match.

However, as the full-time drew near, Cristiano Ronaldo brought the ball down with a fine first touch and fired it directly into the net.

Three minutes later, the former Manchester United striker went a step forward and scored arguably the best goal of the season so far.

Al Akhdoud goalie Paulo Vitor strived to block the ball but it fell onto the chest of the untroubled Ronaldo.

From around 40 yards out, he tried a courageous lob that looked like it was going over the bar, but it dipped in.

It was no wonder to see him wheel away with a wide jubilation after scoring one of his best goals this year.

Cristiano Ronaldo has now bagged 527 goals across first-division competitions, doing so in the Liga Portugal, English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie, and Saudi Arabia Pro League.

His overall tally for Al Nassr has increased to 32 in 37 games, reaching such an achievement in just 11 months in the Middle East.
