The golden football boots worn by David Beckham in his 100th game for England are to be sold for about £10,000.

The Adidas 2008 Predators were used by Beckham in an encounter involving England and France on March 26, 2008.

England lost the game 1-0 to Les Blues and David Beckham was even handed a yellow card in the 39th minute of proceedings.

Franck Ribery scored the game's solitary goal from the spot, converting with style in the 32nd minute of proceedings.

Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, John Terry, and Wayne Rooney all featured for the Three Lions in the encounter.

For France, Franck Ribery, Nicolas Anelka, William Gallas, and Claude Makelele all played in the showdown.

The boots were specially made for Beckham and it also included St George's Crosses, alongside the retired midfielder's profile on the left boot.

David Beckham's first three children, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz also had their names emblazoned on the design.

The boots are to be sold on December 5, 2023, and it is done as part of a broader sporting goods auction by Northamptonshire-based auctioneers, Graham Budd Auctions.

The lowest bid is expected to be about £4,600, with David Convery, head of sporting memorabilia, indicating that the pair of boots could be auctioned for up to £8,000 to £10,000.

David Beckham played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including; Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, and AC Milan.

He was known for his trademarked free-kick style, dubbed “Beckham-esque”, as he curls the ball with precision and accuracy.

The 48-year-old scored 127 goals and provided 225 assists in 724 club appearances.

Beckham has also been called the first mega star in football, with him receiving massive attention from within the football space and also out of it.

The former England international was a darling of brands looking to tap into the mountainous attention around football.

David Beckham is currently the co-owner of MLS club Inter Miami and he is excelling in that phase of his footballing life.

The Englishman made 115 appearances for England, scoring 17 goals and providing 42 assists in all competitions.

Speaking on how massive Beckham is and how he revolutionized football, David Coventry, head of sporting memorabilia said:

“David Beckham is not only an iconic player, but you could also argue that he started the 'style revolution' with this type of golden boot.”

“These boots are already attracting attention on a global stage and we wouldn't be surprised if they reached or even went beyond their estimated price.”

The boots will be sold as the first item available to be bought on the 5th of December 2023, at the auctioneers' site in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, at 13:30.
