Declan Rice and Gabriel were involved in a heated confrontation as Arsenal fell to a 2-1 setback to Fulham on Sunday, December 31.

The duo could be seen fuming at each other and pointing the finger at one another, citing that the two hadn’t been happy with something their teammate had done.

In a video going around on social media, the Brazilian can be seen shouting at the former West Ham United midfielder, who reacted by arguing back and flinging his arms.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Delan Rice said that he and his teammates couldn’t afford to be frightened with so long of the season still to play.

He said; "There’s been a blip in the road. There’s no need to panic, there are still so many games to go. We need to stay positive. This is not the time to be negative. We’ve got a great manager, a great set of players and we will keep going".

Fulham vs Arsenal in brief

Arsenal went into the game as the favorite as they had a golden chance to reclaim their spot at the top of the English Premier League table, with title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City having played one fewer match.

Bukayo Saka bagged an early goal for the visiting team, poking home a Gabriel Martinelli strike parried away by Bernd Leno but Mikel Arteta’s looked weakened for the rest of the game.

Raul Jimenez marked his comeback from suspension in style as he equalized after getting on the end of Antonee Robinson’s cross.

Bobby Decordova-Reid completed the turnaround in the second after capitalizing on Arsenal’s low effort to clear a corner.

The setback means that the Emirates outfit have slipped from first to fourth in a matter of days, taking just one point from a possible nine in their previous three matches.

However, it seemed that pressures overflowed on the pitch shortly before Fulham’s winner as the Gunners looked helpless before they left the field.

What's next for Arsenal?

The Gunners will shift their attention to the FA third-round tie against Liverpool as Mikel Arteta will be looking forward to bouncing back from their latest defeat when they both lock horns with each other on Sunday, January 7.
