Ekiti Police arraign 3 men in court for stealing pumping machine in the state
The Police Command in Ekiti State have arraigned 3 mem in court for stealing a pumping machine in the state.
This happened yesterday, Monday, July 24. These 3 men were arraigned before an Ado Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court.
They had stolen a pumping machine which was worth N40,000.
The suspects have been identified and they include Rufai Isiaka who is 20 years old, Buhari Ibrahim who is 18 years old, a Muniru Yahaya who is also 20 years old.
The police prosecutor who is Inspector Caleb Leramo, revealed to the court that these men stole a pumping machine worth N40,000.this ounoung machine belongs to someone named Modupe Oso.
Thy had committed this crime on the 18th of July, 2023. This as around 11:40 a.m that day. The incident happened at Tinuola Area in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The prosecutor, Leramo, prayed the court for an adjournment of this case so as to given him time to study the case file and get his witnesses.
Theses men, the defendants pleaded not guilty to these charges that were ready against the..
Their counsel is Mr Sunday Balogun, and he urged the court to grant the defendants bail. He made a promise to the court saying these boys will skip bail.
The Chief Magistrate who is Mr Saka Afunso, then granted them bail in the sum of N20,000 alongside one surety each in like sum.
He has also adjourned the case till the 28th of August, 2023 for hearing.
