Emilio Nsue of Equatorial Guinea scored three goals against Guinea-Bissau to secure the top spot in the 2023 African Cup of Nations Group A, ahead of Nigeria and Ivory Coast.

Nsue scored the first goal of the match in the 21st minute. However, Guinea-Bissau came back into the game after Equatorial Guinea's Esteban Orozco scored an own goal while trying to stop a pass.

Equatorial Guinea's Miranda scored the second goal of the game in the 46th minute of the match. Nsue scored the remaining goal of the match.

Guinea-Bissau scored the second goal of the game in the 93rd minute.

How Equatorial Guinea Defeated Guinea-Bissau in the African Cup of Nations to Move to the Top of Group A

After consistently pressing the Guinea-Bissau side, Equatorial Guinea opened the score sheet with a beautiful goal from Emilio Nsue, who wasted no time in scoring the second Equitorial Guinea goal of the tournament.

Guinea-Bissau will play against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on January 22, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.

If the Super Eagles defeat Guinea-Bissau, the Djurtus will leave the tournament.
