
The Federal Government has placed a temporary ban on publicly funded foreign trips for ministers and other government officials.
This was addressed in a statement issued by Pres. Tinubu through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. President Tinubu has banned all foreign trips for all ministers and government officials, except the ones with utmost necessity.
This decision was made to cut governance costs amidst the country's collapsing economy. The ban will be enacted on 1st April 2024 for 3 months.
