Businessman and popular celebrity Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission for money laundering.
The club owner, who was born in Anambra and arrived at EFCC headquarters in Jabi, Abuja around noon on Monday, is currently being interviewed by commission agents.
Although the allegations against the celebrity were patchy at the time of publication, a source revealed that his case bordered on money laundering and tax evasion.
The source said: “Obi Cubana was arrested Monday afternoon on allegations of money laundering and tax evasion and taken to EFCC headquarters. While we're talking, detectives toggle him.
When contacted, EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren said he had not been informed of the developments.

Davido also responded, going on his Instagram page to share a photo of Obi Cubana and reiterating that the famous club owner had money.
