A group of bandits attacked Koro in Ekiti LGA, on February 1st, 2024, killing Olukoro of Koro, Gen. Segun Aremu (Rtd), kidnap wife and two others in Kwara State.
Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq condemned the killing of the monarch and described it as an abominable act. He urged the authorities to take immediate action in curbing the criminal activities in the state and ensure that all the perpetrators are brought to book.
He also revealed that a search and rescue operation has begun in a bid to secure the release of the kidnapped victims.
