Harry Kane broke a 60-year-old Bundesliga record after he headed home Joshua Kimmich's cross to complete a first-half comeback for Bayern Munich against Darmstadt on Bundesliga matchday 26.

The England all-time topscorer was tied with German football legend Uwe Steeler on 30 Bundesliga goals each on their debut before the game against Darmstadt.

Uwe Steeler, who passed on in 2022 at the age of 85, set one of the longest Bundesliga goalscoring records when he scored a record 30 goals in his first season (1963/64) in the German topflight playing as a center-attacker for Hamburg.

No Bundesliga debutant Bundesliga striker was able to match or break Uwe Steeler's record for 60 years until Harry Kane came around joining Bayern Munich in a €100m move from Tottenham.

Kane have put up a brilliant individual campaign and standout performances for Bayern Munich despite the Bavarians' dismal campaign this season.

The former Tottenham captain added another star to his already lit Bundesliga career as he etched his name into the Bundesliga history books.

Nodding home the cross from Kimmich, the sensational attacker broke Uwe Steeler's record as he recorded his 31st Bundesliga goal as a debutant.

It marks another milestone in the England captain's career, a clear testament to his unrivaled and prolific goalscoring prowess.

Overall, Kane has scored 37 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions and will be hoping to continue on his stellar run until the end of the season.
