Bayern Munich returned to winning ways with a 2-1 Bundesliga victory over RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena.

Bundesliga topscorer Harry Kane came up clutch for the Bavarians with a brace to fire the home side pass RB Leipzig.

The first half ended barren before Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 56th minute. After Harry Kane's opener, RB Leipzig clawed their charges back into the game with Sesko scoring the equaliser for the home side.

It nearly ended in a draw as both sides failed to find the back of the net going forward before Harry struck again in stoppage time to make it 2-1 and hand the club a crucial victory.

Bayern Munich went into the game on the back of turmoil with Thomas Tuchel asked to leave the club at the end of the season.

They were 11 points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen before the game but cut the point arrears to 8 after the win over RB Leipzig.

Despite the win, the Bavarians are still down in the race for the Bundesliga title and teetering on the brink of ending the season without a trophy.

There are reports of an imminent overhaul in the squad with the likes of Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sane, and other top players set to be sold.

The move to part ways with the players has been linked to the dressing room split that has contributed to the team's recent underwhelming performances.

Thomas Tuchel will hope to continue on winning ways when they travel to take on Freiburg in their next Bundesliga match before hosting Lazio in the Champions League round 16 second leg.
