Fans were eager to see Wizkid's name among the categories but it was nowhere to be found.
Hours later, a fake screenshot surfaced online showing reasons why Wizkid was exempted from the list. It was later debunked by Ayo Animashaun, the Executive Producer of the Headies.
However, the Headies Awards put out a statement revealing that artistes cannot get nominated for the award unless they submit their entry.
Possibly, Wizkid didn't submit any entries for the 16th Headies Awards and as a result, he wasn't nominated.
