Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage reveals how she became a singer because she had a crush on a groupie.
Speaking to MTV Live about her acting debut, Tiwa Savage said she always loved acting but she ended up doing music because of a crush. Tiwa Savage's debut movie, Water and Garri will premiere in the coming months on Amazon Prime Video.
Tiwa Savage said, "I’ve always wanted to do acting. Acting was one of my first love before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy and he was always around the musician so I said ‘yeah, forget acting and just go into music." Tiwa Savage said featuring in a movie is a full circle moment for her because she had always wanted to act.
