Hugo Lloris has had a shocking career exchange after becoming the boss of a beach restaurant in his country, France.

According to reports, the 36-year-old French International is one of the new owners of the Beaulieu-sur-Mer restaurant La Javanaise.

Hugo Lloris, the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper has been linked to a move away from the London club and has since taken over as director of a beachside restaurant.

The restaurant is located between Nice and the Principality of Monaco on the beautiful French Riviera.

In addition to the main dining room, there are also the lounge and the beach.

The restaurant’s menu features some of Michelin-starred chef Jean-Philippe Blondet’s signature dishes that pay homage to the cuisine of the Mediterranean.

However, the restaurant’s prices are relatively exorbitant. The majority of the entrees cost more than £30. The grilled lobster costs £77 per order and is another option on the menu.

The business move may increase speculation that Lloris, 36, may leave Tottenham this summer.

What’s happened to Hugo Lloris?

Hugo Lloris suffered a setback this season due to a knee injury he had during a Tottenham match against Manchester City that kept him out for eight weeks.

Lloris made 31 appearances for Spurs in all competitions this season before he was injured on the 5th of February.

The Spurs goalkeeper will be frustrated by the number of saves he missed this season, including four that directly resulted to goals (the most in the Premier League).

Since suffering his last serious injury in October 2019, the 36-year-old, who just retired from international football with France after the World Cup, has been a staple in the Spurs side.

Lloris has been a wonderful player for Spurs, appearing in 447 games for the club and being selected captain in 2015 by Mauricio Pochettino.

He has played in more games for the club than anyone else in the Premier League.
