Hull City recently made waves on the internet with their comical announcement of the loan signing of Liverpool's Fabio Carvalho.

Carvalho began his career at Fulham, scoring 11 goals in 40 league appearances before making a £5m move to Liverpool in July 2022.

After his transfer to Anfield, he spent the first half of the 2022/23 season on loan at RB Leipzig.

The 21-year-old Portuguese player had a loan spell at RB Leipzig in the first half of the season, starting only one league game for the Bundesliga team.

At the end of December, the Portuguese came back to the Merseyside club amidst rumors of another loan.

Meanwhile, various Championship clubs, such as Leicester, Leeds, and Southampton, were rumored to be interested in signing him.

However, he has chosen to join Liam Rosenior's team Hull City, until the end of the 2024 season.

Meanwhile, the announcement of Carvalho's arrival aroused laughter on social media, with Fabio Carvalho being edited into a scene from 'Blind Date' where a woman chooses her man.

Hull City created a joke about the well-known TV show "Blind Date" hosted by Cilla Black in a video clip.

In the edited version, one person asked three potential dates a series of questions without seeing them, before choosing one to go out with.

The video clip showed Cilla with a Liverpool crest on her head, Carvalho as the person choosing the date, and a Hull City badge on the chosen person.

The other potential dates were represented by Leeds and Southampton badges.

In the end, Hull were portrayed as the chosen date, while Southampton and Patrick Bamford's Leeds were left disappointed.

It seems that Hull's announcement has certainly made an impression on football fans, and has added an element of fun and excitement to the transfer news.

Some fans praised the club for adding a player with such a distinguished career, while others couldn't help but laugh at the lighthearted and unconventional approach to the announcement.

X, previously known as Twitter was abuzz with memes and jokes about the unexpected news, with many fans looking forward to seeing how Carvalho would fit into the team.

In response to the hilarious clip, one of the football enthusiasts, with a mixture of surprise and amusement commented: "I think this is the funniest announcement I've ever seen ."

Another person jokingly remarked: "This is legendary content!!"

A third person noted: "This is wholesome content. It's hard not to be happy with this."

A fourth person responded: "Club admins have gone wild with power this is class and I hate it"

Another tweeted: "okay this is fire"

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder previously made 22 appearances for Liverpool's first team before dropping down the pecking order.

Fabio Carvalho will be looking forward to impressing Jurgen Klopp from a distance.

What's next for Hull City and Carvalho?

Hull City will be hoping that Carvalho can boost their promotion push, as they are currently one point outside the play-off places occupying the seventh place in the Championship table.

Manager Liam Rosenior will be aiming for Carvalho to make an impact in Friday's home game against Norwich, which could mark Carvalho's debut for the Tigers.

In addition, Carvalho will be joined by fellow Liverpool loanee Tyler Morton at Hull City.
