Nigerian singer Oritsefemi boasts of being a godfather to the likes of Davido, Wizkid, Burnaboy, and other Nigerian singers. He calls himself their godfather. That is, he is one of those who inspired them into the industry.
Oritsefemi spilled this when he was invited to the WithChude podcast. He mentioned how he accommodated Burnaboy when the singer ran away from home because his mother was suffocating him. He also said he owned houses in Lagos State where popular slay queens leased.
Oritsefemi is the singer of the hit song Igbeyawo, which was released in 2015. He hasn't been making waves in the industry, unlike in the past, which was what motivated him to tell his story on the WithChude podcast. Meanwhile, calling himself the godfather of the likes of Davido, Wizkid, and Burnaboy stirred mixed reactions in the media, both the good and the bad.
