Nigerian comedian and singer Nasboi dropped a shocking perception he had about his colleague, Sydney Talker. He used to think Sydney Talker was a fraudster due to how the skitmaker used to flaunt his wealth online. He never believed that there was money in skit-making and influencing products until he ventured into it. Then, his orientation changed. He also mentioned how a lot of people have wrongly perceived influencers in the Nigerian space, especially female influencers. According to Nasboi, people believe that these ladies are into prostitution but conceal their source of income with influencing. Nasboi believes that is all false as there is money in influencing.
He mentioned how a female influencer, Papaya ex, used to post ads consistently on her page when she started getting traction. All these ads are being sponsored by brands who pay whatever amount they charge. Therefore, people should stop assuming that there is no money in influencing.
