The acting overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church in Lagos has expressed confidence in defeating the People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential nominee, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, if he gets the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket.
Speaking to journalists, the presidential candidate expressed his satisfaction with the selection process.
He praised the PDP presidential candidate as a worthy candidate. "The selection process went very well," he said when asked.
Appropriate questions were asked about how we are tackling the challenges facing our country, and appropriate answers were given.By God's grace we are glad to have something to offer this nation.
No one can pretend to have all the answers at this critical time in our history. But we told them we were bringing together the best, brightest and strongest from within the country, north and south, as well as from outside the country.
“The time has come to rebuild the foundations of many generations, retrace our steps and to make our nation great again.”
Meanwhile, the APC, like the opposition PDP, denied the Drug Enforcement Agency's request to drug test applicants.The aspirants told reporters that the party made no mention of a drug test.
It emerged that the committee, chaired by Chief John Odigie Oyegun, would send its report to the APC's national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who would then forward it to President Muhammadu Buhari for consideration.
