Iheanacho named PL player of the month

    Kelechi Iheanacho has been recognized for his five goals input in the month of March and awarded the Premier League player of the month. The Nigerian will be the fourth Super Eagles player to win the award.

    Iheanacho, who also register an assist for Nigeria while on international duty in the match against Lesotho is in hot form.

    The four Nigerian players that have achieved this feat her Jay-Jay Okocha, Peter Odemwingie and Odion Ighalo, with Iheanacho been the fourth. He has been in England since 2015, first playing for Manchester City before his transfer to Leicester City.

    The Nigerian scored a total of seven goals in five matches for the Fox in March. He returned from international duty with Nigeria. Iheanacho edged the likes of Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez, West Ham United's Jesse Lingard, Chelsea's Andreas Christensen, Leeds United's Illan Meslier, Manchester United's Luke Shaw and Brighton & Hove Albion's Leandro Trossard to clinch the award.

    Meanwhile, Chelsea’s coach, Thomas Tuchel saw off competition from Brendan Rogers of Leicester city, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of Man Utd, Graham Potter, Brighton and Hoves Albion to win the Coach of the month. Guiding Chelsea to a three matches unbeaten run, with three clean sheets.
