Ikorodu residents cry out after thieves carted away their transformer while they were asleep
The residents of Ikorodu are agonizing over the looting of their community transformer by yet-to-be-identified thieves. Community members woke up on a fateful morning and were met with the shock of their lives. Their cherished transformer which has been their source of electricity supply has been looted and all the cables have been stolen.
Transformers that power hundreds of houses in a community are said to be expensive and the residents were seen lamenting how they would have to endure to live with no electricity.
This happened in Aruna area of Ikorodu and in this clip, the recorder ordered residents to troop out of their houses so they could proffer a solution to the problem at hand. Many were left wondering how they would survive to sleep in their homes now that the weather is hot and sleeping without a working fan or AC is inconvenient.
