It's unethical for an Igbo man to dish his food, Nigerian man schools his South African wife
A Nigerian man is trending for refusing to dish his food from the pot after his wife finished cooking.
His South African wife asked that he go dish the food and eat to his fill but he refused. According to him, it is against his principles to open his wife's cooking pot and serve himself. He said it is unethical and it is an abomination for an Igbo man to do so. The culture shock took his South African wife by surprise as she claimed that there was nothing wrong with her husband serving himself.
While they argued a little more, the principled Nigerian man said he could dish the food that he prepared by himself. Also, his wife can dish the food which he prepared himself but he will never open his wife's pot of soup to serve himself. He added that he would rather starve if his wife didn't dish the food.
Is this principle common to the Igbo tribe?
