Katsina Police arrest man for raping and killing child in the state.
Officers of the Katsina State Police Command gave arrested a man who raped and murdered a child. This man has been identified as Jibrin Yusuf who is 25 years old.
He had allegedly raped and killed a young girl in Kanon-Haki village, in Faskari Local Government Area, in Katsina State. The little girl was just 7 years old when this incident occurred.
The spokesperson of the Katsina State Police Command who is ASP Sadiq Abubakar, revealed this incident in a statement. He shared that the father of the little girl had employed the suspect on the 2nd of August. The suspect was employed to transport fertiliser from one of his farms to the other far which is on the outskirts of the village.
The suspect had them seen that the little girl was left alone to watch over the fertiliser so he dragged her to a farm close by and raped the little girl. After committing this act, he then slit her throat using a knife.
He then took the corpse to another farm and covered it with leaves before leaving with 3 bags of fertiliser.
After thorough investigation, the man was arrested. He has also confessed to the rape and murder of th is little girl. The police have also recovered the fertilisers he stole.
