The Governor of Kebbi State Nasir Idris has purchased 26 new vehicles for his newly inaugurated commissioners. The commissioners were reportedly drawn from 21 local governments in Kebbi State.

When Idris was handing over the vehicles to the commissioners, he warned them against misuse and recklessness. He stated that giving out the vehicles would assist the commissioners in carrying out their official engagements. They can easily visit their localities and see to any challenge ASAP.

He clearly stated that the vehicles shouldn't be seen as a luxury but a machine that will help them discharge their duties as a commissioner. It will aid them in traveling within their localities, meeting people, and interacting with them to help identify their various problems.

He warned them against selling the vehicles and said that anyone who sells the official vehicle given to them will face the consequences.

Alhaji Abubakar Garba-Dutsinmari, the spokesperson of the commissioners assured the Governor that the new vehicles would be strictly used to discharge the duties of the local government.
