This incident happened in Delta State. The mother of the abducted boy, Aisha Yusuf, made a report at the Police station in Abraka.

She said that her son was abducted by Mohammed Isah, a 35-year-old. When CSP Apu Torukeregha, the Divisional Police Officer of ‘C’ Division Asaba heard, he quickly deployed their men to search for and rescue the boy.

DSP Bright Edafe, Delta state's PPRO, confirmed that the kidnapper was arrested alongside four others who attempted to sell the small boy for a sum of #800,000.

The other suspects are Abubakar Mohammed, 32; Ibrahim Sani, 23; Kabiru Ibrahim, 52; and Suleiman Mohammed, 38.
