He has spoken up regarding how he wasn't nominated for the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA 2023.
He didn't have any nominations despite his big role in the movie, Anikulapo which was produced by Kunle Afolayan.

He was asked about his opinion over the matter of not being nominated at all and he then mentioned that this doesn't reduce his value as an actor. He also said it doesn't reduce his fame and energy.
