The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has openly commended the efforts of KwaraLEARN program as it celebrates its first anniversary. KwaraLEARN is an empowerment scheme targeted at training teachers and improving the quality of education in the state.

During 12 months, KwaraLEARN has been able to empower over 6000 teachers and increase the quality of education of over 120,000 pupils in the state.

They were able to achieve this great feat by employing remedial interventions to ensure pupils reach the age and grade-appropriate learning levels.

In a statement issued by the empowerment program, they disclosed that KwaLEARN has distributed a million textbooks and supplementary materials to schools.

"Currently operational in 10 out of the 16 Local Government Areas in Kwara State, KwaraLEARN planned to expand its reach to the remaining six areas, comprising of Edu, Ifelodun, Isin, Kaiama, Moro, and Oyun," it said

The Governor said this about KwaraLEARN "We take pride in the remarkable progress KwaraLEARN has achieved in its first year. Our commitment to transforming education in Kwara State remains steadfast, and KwaraLEARN plays a vital role in our strategy to build a Kwara that works for all.”
