Several professional athletes showed up to the Roland Garros Final on the Sunday afternoon to watch the men’s final between tennis great Novak Djokovic and rising youngster Casper Ruud.

The French Open is one of the most prestigious tennis competitions in the world, held yearly at Roland Garros in Paris.

This year’s French Open men’s final saw Novak Djokovic make history after clinching his 23rd Grand Slam singles record and third at the aforementioned venue.

The Serbian International star defeated Casper Ruud from Norway by 7-6, (7/1), 6-3, 7-5, and outperformed Rafael Nadal to become the tennis player with the most Grand Slams.


Djokovic makes history by becoming the first male player to win three or more titles at all four Grand Slam competitions.

Notably, Kylian Mbappe took to his Instagram page to congratulate Djokovic for the new record. The PSG leading goalscorer posted a picture of the tennis star with the caption “You made HISTORY…. Congratulations”. .
