Labour Party state Chairman insists that Mr Abure is still the National Chairman.


The state Chairman for the Labour Party has insisted that Mr Julius Abure wasn't sacked and he is still the National Chairman of the Labour Party.

The Chairman for the Labour Party in Edo State, Ogbaloi Kelly, mentioned that the National Working Committee (NWC) is subordinate to the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Labour party.

He mentioned that when a faction of the party takes a decision, it is null. He mentioned that those who took this decision were still on suspension when they did.

He mentioned that they have come to take over what belongs to them and those who took over didn't have any control over the matter.

He also mentioned that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has confirmed that Abura is the Chairman and this was in their communique.

He mentioned they disregarded such decisions taken earlier on this matter.

The Chairman of the Enugu State Labour Party, Cashmir Agbo claimed that member software the party need to be guided by laws and rules of the party and country.

He then mentioned that the authentic national Chairman of the Labour Party is still Julius Abure.

He further added that no one other than the National Executive Committee could remove him.
