Lagos Police arraigns 26-year-old woman for assaulting a female officer​


A 26-year-old woman identified as Omorogbe Jennifer Soni has been arraigned for assaulting a female police officer on the 21st of February, 2024. Jennifer was captured on camera arguing with the female officer after her car was pulled over. When the officer attempted to move closer to Jennifer's car, she immediately pushed the officer. Due to the sudden attack, the officer came crashing on the dirty floor and this action raised concerns among the men of the Nigerian Police Force.

In a statement released by the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, he said that Omorogbe was arraigned on the 22nd of February at the Etiosa Magistrate Court, Ajah. the 26-year-old has also been remanded to the Kirikiri Female Correctional Centre till the next hearing on March 27, 2024. He then advised others to avoid becoming the next victim for anyone who is found guilty would be dealt with.

‘’The Lagos State Police Command advices Lagosians to remain law-abiding in their day-to-day activities with all and sundry as anyone found guilty of violating the law would be dealt with in accordance with the law.’’ Hundeyin said
