After the attack on the Abuja University staff quarters on Tuesday morning and the kidnapping of four employees and a few children, the FCT Police Commissioner ordered the police to strengthen the security of the university.

The alleged bandits attacked the staff quarters in the Giri region of the federal capital at around 1 a.m. on Tuesday and kidnapped the victims.

The school confirmed the victim's kidnapping on the university's social media page, saying security guards working with security guards had mobilized to subsequently secure the neighborhoods.

About the development, the spokesman for the FCT police DSP Adeh Joséphine said: Outside areas as well as staff quarters and other affiliated formations of the university in order to strengthen security, improve public safety and protect the citizens in and around the university community.

The cp called for peace and stated that the security forces were already working with residents of the area to rescue the victims. He assured that the perpetrators would be arrested and brought to justice.
