Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has revealed they could be without Darwin Nunez when they play Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

Klopp, addressing the media today, said Nunez suffered a foot injury during their 4-1 win over Chelsea in midweek.

The Uruguay striker left Anfield in a protective boot and is now doubtful for the top-of-the-table clash.

“I don’t know if Darwin is available. After 20 minutes [against Chelsea], somebody stepped on his foot and it was painful.

“He left the stadium in a boot, and not a football one.

“Nothing broke, X-ray clear. But we have to see if he can get it back in a football boot,” Klopp said.

Liverpool are also likely to be without Mohamed Salah, who returned from the Africa Cup of Nations with a hamstring problem.

Liverpool are still in top gear for their quadruple-chasing campaign this season. They are top of the Premier League table with 51 points from 22 games, 5 points clear of Manchester City who have 46 points with a game in hand.

Arsenal are third on the Premier League table with the same number of points as Manchester City but have played the same number of games as Liverpool.

ZThe reverse fixture between the two sides ended squares. There is a lot to play for in the six-pointer clash as Arsenal will hope to peg down Liverpool points arrears at the top to two points should they come out victorious.

Meanwhile, Manchester City will have to go top of the table if they win their two outstanding matches and Liverpool lost to Arsenal.

Hence, it is going to be a cracker as the two sides cross swords at Anfield. The two finished January transfer windows without reinforcements having completed top deals last summer.
