Man charged to court for allegedly defiling 11 year old girl
A man has been charged to court for sexually assaulting a 11 year old girl in Lagos State. The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, (DSVA) was the one who arraigned him.
The man has been identified as Oluwafemi Gbonegun.
It was the Executive Secretary, Mrs Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, Thursday.
She revealed that the agency had received a report and then immediately began operations. The field officers had visited the Police Gender Office to make sure that investigation into this began.
She says when the investigation was completed, the suspect was then charged to court on a count charge of defilement.
The suspects will be remanded for the next thirty days at the correctional facility and this is until legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is given.
They adjourned the case till the 10th of July.
She went ahead to address the public to speak up and report such cases of Abuse.
