Man Kills girlfriend with a sledgehammer out of jealousy
A man has been arrested by the officers of the Lagos state Police command recently for killing his girlfriend with a sledgehammer out of jealousy. It was the Lagos command who revealed that they have arrested this man for murder.
The suspect has been identified as Samuel Adeniyi and he had allegedly killed his girlfriend with a sledgehammer. He had hit the lady with the sledgehammer on her head leading to her death.
It was the state Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, who shared this during a press briefing recently. The press briefing was held on Thursday at the Police Officers Mess, in Ikeja, Lagos.
He revealed that the suspect had said he killed his girlfriend because he feared that she may leave him for someone else.he had been jealous that the lady may find another person and leave him and this was what led to him killing her.
After committing the crime, he then ran away but the Police were successful in catching him and arrested him. They have also recovered the weapon (sledgehammer) which he used in this crime. He promised that the suspect will be brought to justice.
The commissioner of Police revealed that “One Samuel Adeniyi got consumed by emotions and smashed the head of his girlfriend, and killed her. He (Adeniyi) said he suspected that the girl may leave him and perhaps for just that reason, he killed her and ran away. We have succeeded in arresting him and recovering the sledgehammer that he used and we will bring him to justice.”
