Manager of BON Hotel dies of heart attack due to recent explosion in Ibadan
The manager of a well-known hotel in Ibadan has passed away recently. The deceased is the manager of BON Hotel located in Ibadan, Oyo state. he passed away after having a heart attack due to the recent explosion that occurred in Ibadan. Recall there was an explosion in Ibadan recently and this incident had claimed the lives of 2 people and left 77 people injured. The explosion occurred on Tuesday night, 16th of January 2024. The manager of BON hotel passed away the day after the explosion happened and this was on the 17th of January 2024.
The deceased has been identified as Tunde Solomon. He was the operations manager of the hotel. He suffered shock after the news of the explosion that occurred near the hotel. The shock he suffered then led to a heart attack leading to his untimely death. The explosion took place at Dejo Oyelese street in Bodija, Ibadan. The explosion had been so serious, it claimed 2 lives and injured 77 people. The explosion also destroyed a lot of buildings in the area. The explosion affected the hotel to an extent as seen in the press release by the hotel management. They revealed that the explosion affect ted the POP Ceilings and glass in some parts of their building.
In the statement released by the hotel management, they disclosed that Mr Tunde Solomon had worked with BON Hotel for 25 years. They described him as a dedicated and selfless worker throughout the years. They revealed how committed he was to the growth of the hotel and expressed their condolence to his family.
In their words “we regret to inform you of the sudden passing of our beloved operations manager, Mr Tunde Solomon. Mr Solomon suffered a heart attack on the 17th of January 2024 and it is believed that it was a consequence of the explosion which occurred on the 16th of January 2024 at Bodija.
