Manchester United never missed out on a European competition in two consecutive seasons. If they ever do so, the English club would pay a £22 million penalty.

The Football club released a statement saying, "Adidas and Manchester United Football Club are delighted to announce the extension of one of the most exciting, seminal partnerships in world sport."
"Manchester United commenced a historic agreement with Adidas at the start of the 2015/16 season, reuniting after 23 years."
“In the seasons that have followed, Adidas and Manchester United have excited fans around the world with forward-thinking initiatives, iconic designs on the pitch, and fan favourite culturewear off of it."
The Red Devils will receive a bonus worth about £4.4 million a year if the club's men or women team win the Champions League, Premier League, or any Continental title.
Manchester United's half-year financial report provided details regarding potential deductions: As a result of the Manchester United Men team qualifying for the 2023-24 Champions League, no deduction was due under the original terms of the contract.
In addition, under the extended term, this clause has been amended to state that a £10 million deduction will be applied for each year of non-participation in the Uefa Champions League.
Manchester United are currently in the sixth place on the Premier League table.
The club are looking forward to securing a Champions League spot at the end of the season.
The club had been inconsistent even when they played against Relegation battling teams.
They had been dominated virtually in all the games they had played this season.
