Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Bukayo Saka following Arsenal's victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Bukayo Saka bagged a goal over the visitors as the winger made it 18 goals and 9 assists in 19 games.

Following the victory, Arsenal moved four points clear of Manchester City at the top of the English Premier League, thanks to a goal from Bukayo Saka and captain Martin Odegaard.

Saka needed less than six minutes to put the Emirates outfit ahead as the Gunners scored their earliest Premier League goal of the season so far.

The 22-year-old speedy opener gave Arsenal a platform to build on and they doubled their lead just seven minutes later.

Saka scored a nice first goal and was again involved in all that was definitive about Mikel Arteta's active side, who should have been out of sight before half-time.

As well as scoring his side's 100th goal of 2023 to put the Gunners ahead, this season is a rollercoaster for Saka, who alongside Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah are the only two footballers to have bagged or assisted in 10 different English Premier League games this season.

After Arsenal's victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Mikel Arteta sang Bukayo Saka songs and tagged him as "crucial".

Arteta said; “He’s crucial for us, and we know what we want him to be, and Bukayo needs to be a main part of that”.

Arteta was clearly pleased. He added; "Football is not perfect, but I’m really happy with the way we played, It should have been a much bigger scoreline. We made a mistake and they take the chance, and it’s game on in the Premier League".

What is next for Bukayo Saka?

The 22-year-old England International will be in action for the league leaders on Tuesday, December 5, as Mikel Arteta's men will lock horns against Luton Town.
