Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage has revealed how her fashion sense affected her when she became a singer.

In an interview with BET, Tiwa Savage recalled how she wasn't allowed to perform at shows because of her provocative dresses. She revealed that some of her music videos were banned on TV when she first started singing.

Despite the public hate, it didn't change. Tiwa Savage said she decided to make her dresses shorter and more revealing. After a while, she gained support from fellow women who admired her craft. This made show promoters, radio, and TV stations start playing her songs because of the high demand from fans.

Tiwa Savage said she strongly believes in supporting her fellow women in music. Even when fans try to pit them against one another, she tries to make friends with them to remove any form of competition between them.
