NDLEA arrests pilgrims intending to swallow 200 wraps of cocaine
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested at least four pilgrims intending to swallow wraps of cocaine before boarding the airplane. The agency reportedly busted their hotel room while they were all preparing to swallow 200 wraps of cocaine. The agency was reportedly tipped off about the cocaine and swiftly sprung into action to arrest the culprits before they left the country.
They are now in the custody of the NDLEA agency and more information regarding their arrest will be released soon.
Transportation of cocaine and other illegal drugs is a crime in Nigeria and the NDLEA has been working tirelessly to put an end to this act. Things like this form a bad perception of the country and the Nigerian Government strongly frowns against it.
